Administer CompleteFTP with an AI Assistant

Administer CompleteFTP by asking an AI assistant in plain English. Connect an MCP-capable assistant such as Claude Code or Codex to your CompleteFTP server, then say things like "add a user called fred, give him a home folder, and turn off FTP so he can only use SFTP." The assistant works out the right commands, runs them, and tells you what it did. There is no syntax to remember and no clicking through screens.

Every command, in plain language

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI assistants use external tools. CompleteFTP's MCP server exposes every command-line command as a tool the assistant can call, over 100 in total, covering users, groups, folders, sites, triggers, extensions, notifications, licensing, and monitoring. Almost anything you can configure on the server, you can now ask for in plain language.

Read-only by default

Read-only mode lets the assistant view and explain your configuration without being able to change anything. That makes it useful for auditing and for building confidence before you let it make changes, and it is the recommended way to start.

The MCP server is available in all editions of CompleteFTP from version 26.1.0 onwards.
