Which edition do I need?

Three questions narrow it down.

1. Do you need SFTP? The Free Edition supports FTP and FTPS only. If your clients or partners connect over SFTP, you need Standard or above.

2. Do your users sign in with Active Directory accounts, or do you need HTTPS, email notifications, process triggers or auditing? Standard supports local Windows users and non-Windows users. Active Directory users, HTTP/HTTPS with web-based file managers, email and process events, IP filtering, disk and bandwidth quotas, auditing and advanced file permissions are Professional features. Professional is our most popular edition and the right choice for most users.

3. Do you run more than one server, keep files in Azure, Amazon S3, SharePoint or OneDrive, need single sign-on (SAML) or two-factor authentication for web logins, automate transfers, or run on Linux? Those are Enterprise MFT features. Enterprise MFT can also act as a secure gateway to older, less secure servers. It is the only edition available on Linux; the Linux installer has no GUI, so you manage the server remotely from CompleteFTP Manager on Windows, at the same version number.

Start with the edition that covers what you need today. Your licence never expires, and if you need more later you can upgrade to a higher edition for the difference in price.
